Delivery Sail to NCYC

Greeted by a fantastic day and nice breeze for our short sail to NCYC.
Tess and Jenno optioned on as crew and under full main and genoa we motorsailed the tide out of the bay. As we cleared Tomaree Heads wind shadow the engine was killed and not needed until we passed the Brewery in Newcastle Harbour. It doesn't get much better than that.

The swell was 2m with about a 1.5 sea and the breeze stiffed from the SW at around 15-18knots. The forecast was for a dying breeze backing to the SE. We headed offshore on starboard tack launching off the odd wave. With the confused seas my crew were feeling the effects of too much curry and not enough beer and started to fade. We tacked back toward land as the breeze backed to the east and we managed to lay the entrance to Newcastle in one tack with sheets just cracked off. The swell and seas calmed as we sailed into Stockton Bight so we maintained good speeds and a comfortable ride  allowed the crew time to catch zzzzs in the sun.

RW is now berthed at NCYC marina and ready for the weekends Regatta. Unfortunately I couldn't fit the genoa car kits as the supplier provided me with Imperial cars in lieu of metric. Wasn't happy but nought I can do about it.
